Magnesium in crops
Why supply magnesium
Magnesium is the central atom of chlorophyll: without it, leaves cannot stay green or efficiently utilize light. Intensive and perennial crops remove it from the soil every year, and its deficiency manifests as interveinal chlorosis on older leaves. Heptahydrate magnesium sulfate also provides sulfur, another nutrient necessary for plants.

Application methods
Three ways to supply magnesium
Fertigation
Dissolve in the fertilizer tank and inject through drip irrigation. Prepare it separately from calcium fertilizers if it is concentrated.
Foliar spraying
For a rapid response to visible deficiencies. Apply during the coolest hours of the day.
Soil fertilization
Spread over the canopy's drip line or along the crop row, followed by irrigation.
Always apply according to the label instructions and the needs of each crop; on farms, a soil or foliar analysis helps adjust the supply.

Responsible use
Good fertilization practices
- Balance the nutrients: excess magnesium makes it difficult to absorb potassium and calcium.
- Hard water: the agricultural pH reducer improves absorption.
- Store carefully: keep buckets closed, in a dry place, away from food, feed, children, and animals.
- Dose thoughtfully: regular applications are better than excessive application.
