Is the pH not rising no matter how much product you add? Check the alkalinity
A pH that does not respond, or that is corrected and quickly drops again, is almost always a symptom of low Total Alkalinity. Alkalinity is the "cushion" that supports the pH: if it is lacking, continuing to add pH increaser only means wasting more. First adjust the TAC to 100-150 ppm.

Analyze pH and alkalinity first; if the TAC does not reach 100 ppm, start with it.
