Without corrected alkalinity, pH increaser is useless
In a large-volume pool, correcting the pH without first adjusting the alkalinity is costly: kilos of pH increaser are added which, after a few days, stop working because the water does not have the capacity to maintain the pH. Correcting the Total Alkalinity first is the way to make every kilo of corrector count.
- Kilos of product that do not last.
- Endless weekly corrections.
- Bathers with eye and skin discomfort.
- A pH that remains stable for weeks.
- Lower spending on correctors.
- More comfortable water for everyone.
Two-step method
Alkalinity first, pH after
In large format, the order of factors does alter the result. Correct the Total Alkalinity with the 10 kg alkalinity increaser and, with it already stable, adjust the pH with the 10 kg pH increaser.
Total Alkalinity
Bring it to 100-150 ppm with the 10 kg alkalinity increaser.

The importance of TAC
What alkalinity does in your pool water
Total Alkalinity (TAC) is the water's capacity to neutralize pH changes. In bathing water, optimal values are between 100 and 150 ppm. In large pools with many bathers, alkalinity is consumed faster, so it is essential to measure it regularly.
Without an adequate Total Alkalinity level, pH regulators, flocculants, and chlorine cannot do their job properly.

The Puerto Verde alkalinity increaser is 100% natural and is free of harmful chemical ingredients to health. In facilities with many users, it is a safe treatment for children, people with allergies, and people with chemical intolerances, and its handling is safe for maintenance staff.

Dosage
Dosage for large pools
Every 10 m³ of water needs 180 g (6 level scoops) to raise Total Alkalinity by 10 ppm. In spas, 18 g (½ scoop) per m³. In large pools, quantities are best expressed in kilos:
