Without the correct alkalinity, the pH increaser is useless
Alkalinity acts as a pH buffer. When it is low, the pH becomes unstable: you raise it with a pH increaser and a few days later it drops again, or spikes with any change. No matter how much product you add, the pH will not stay until the alkalinity is in place.

Total Alkalinity (TAC) measures the water's ability to resist pH changes. The values considered optimal for bathing water range between 100 and 150 ppm. Below that range, the water loses stability and problems appear: pH that does not stay, water that irritates the eyes or skin, and less effective disinfection.
Important: pH regulators, flocculants, and chlorine cannot perform their function properly without an adequate Total Alkalinity level.

How much alkalinity increaser do you need?
Before dosing, analyze the water to know how much you need to raise the alkalinity. The reference is:
Pools
180 g (6 level scoops) per 10 m³ raise TAC by 10 ppm.
Spas
18 g (½ scoop) per 1 m³ raise TAC by 10 ppm.

How to apply the alkalinity increaser

Analyze the water
Measure the Total Alkalinity to know how many ppm you need to raise it to the range of 100-150 ppm.

Dissolve the dosage in a container with about 10 liters of water.
